Disco is a popular music style that rose to prominence in the 1970s, particularly within minority and gay culture. Adored by some, and utterly hated by others, it still prompted the opening of nightclubs all over the world! No matter what side of the fence music fans are on regarding disco's appeal, it is certain that the music, the lifestyle it created and the fashion it started are some of the most prevailing images of 1970s Americana remaining to this day.
To pay homage to the Disco Era, I created Disco Happy Hour
, so the Original Party Animals (Seniors & Baby Boomers) will have an opportunity to become active again, stay sharp, party & reminisce, plus the younger generation will be able to experience an amazing music genre from our Delicious Red Beats - DJ Mixing Board & Music Pool
DJs, both past & present, and music lovers who still have original vinyl recordings now have a platform to share and preserve the Vintage Disco Dance Music that we know and love, but, also the thousands and thousands of songs that received No Air Play on public radio, during the disco era's formative years, heard only in dance clubs and in most cases after it's popularity faded, never heard of again.
This also includes music that received No Air Play in nightclubs simply because the DJs did not like, purchase or play it; tastes change, so who's to say if it wasn't popular back in the day that it couldn't be Hot today!?
This Classic Music must be preserved for those of us who originally danced to it and for millennials & future generations who appreciate quality music crafted with real instruments and truly talented singers and musicians!
